Requests necessary tests, and follow-up visits, and refers patients to specialists, as necessary. Being a Physician - Pediatrics requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Medical assistants are given various tasks that include, performing vitals on every patient, vaccinating, doing procedures like hemoglobin. When taking our patients, they have to be able to fill out laboratory slips with the tests they're going to be sent for. They will also be responsible for calling patients to inform of laboratory results.
