Physician - Pediatrics examines children to ensure proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Requests necessary tests, and follow-up visits, and refers patients to specialists, as necessary. Being a Physician - Pediatrics requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. Additionally, Physician - Pediatrics may report to a medical director. Physician - Pediatrics's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Position Overview
LPNs provide clinical support to the medical provider.
Reporting relationship: Nurse manager for clinical issues, personnel manager for personnel matters
Essential Job Functions
· Rooms Patient
· Takes Vital signs
· Records chief complaint
· Updates health maintenance
· Carries out standing orders, including specimen collection
· Provides educational materials
· Carries out provider orders
· Performing pre-visit planning per practice protocol
· Assists provider during examinations and procedures as needed
· Performing procedures within the scope of an LPN’s scope of practice and per practice protocol
· Notifying patients of results as per practice protocols
· Documenting all clinical information in patients charts in a timely and accurate manner
· Stocking exam rooms as needed. Cleaning exam rooms for patients. Cleaning instruments after use and at the end of the day
· Maintaining the lab including reading and recording test results.
· Quality Assurance testing for office labs, CLIA compliance, and proficiency testing as directed
· Participates in practice QI activities
Requirements
· New York State LPN license - current
· CPR certification
