Medical assistant needed to assist 2 podiatrists with patient care. Individual needs to be a self starter and have data entry experience. Must be detail orientated and able to communicate well with others. Will need to travel between our Ansonia and Shelton office. Willing to train the right person.
Summary: Looking for a medical assistant to assist in all aspects of patient care from the time they walk through the door until they leave. Must be outgoing and friendly.
Responsibilities:
Ensure proper flow of patients into and out of the treatment rooms.
Maintain proper supplies and equipment in all treatment rooms.
Perform vital signs, x-rays and other screening procedures for documentation.
Assist the doctors with procedures including wound care, fitting for and dispensing shoes, orthotics, walking boots, and braces.
Obtain data from the patients primary care physician to be added the their electronic chart.
Knowledge of medical documentation and procedures.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Medical assistant program certificate
Knowledge of computers (data entry)
Must have valid drivers license and vehicle
