Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Physician Practice Operations Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     About the Job:

    The Operations Director is at the forefront of driving operational excellence fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the company. The Operations Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives aligned with our company's overarching objectives while fostering a culture of safety and lean thinking across all our operations.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    Strategic Planning and Execution:

    • Lead the transition to a lean thinking operational culture within the company.
    • Develop and implement operational strategies, plans, and initiatives aligned with overall company objectives.
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to set operational goals, budgets, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for business growth and profitability.
    • Monitor the execution of strategic plans, track progress, and make necessary adjustments.
    • Foster strong partnering relationships with cross-functional management to align company objectives and processes.

    Safety and Compliance Leadership:

    • Act as a champion of safety and compliance throughout the organization.
    • Drive daily performance and impactful projects ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
    • Develop credible recovery plans in case of performance setbacks.

    Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement:

    • Build, develop, and manage a high-performing manufacturing leadership team.
    • Establish and maintain a regular performance feedback cycle with direct reports, creating development plans and coaching individuals for achievement.
    • Drive operational excellence through world-class manufacturing processes.
    • Ensure on-time delivery of finished goods while maintaining quality standards.
    • Monitor, train, and optimize resources to meet production targets.
    • Implement continuous improvement methodologies like statistical process control, Six Sigma, and Lean techniques.

    Requirements

     Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    • Proven experience in an operations leadership role with a track record of success.
    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience.
    • In-depth understanding of lean methodologies and successful implementation in manufacturing.
    • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in strategic planning and implementation.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Sound financial acumen and budget management experience.
    • Proficiency in utilizing technology and operational tools.
