May require a master's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Physician Practice Operations Director typically reports to a top management. The Physician Practice Operations Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Physician Practice Operations Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. The Practice Coordinator is a non-exempt position responsible for coordinating the workflow and performing essential duties to ensure effective, efficient functioning of the front and back office of a nephrology practice
Responsibilities:
- Schedule patients and make follow-up reminder calls within established guidelines
- Ensure new patient paperwork is completed prior to service or at the time of service
- Manage front-end business office functions including but not limited to
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service
- Complete charge entry and resolve claim holds within stated timeframes
- Collect and manage co-pays and outstanding patient balances at the time of service
- Answer phones knowledgeably and in a timely manner with professional courtesy
- Order office and medical supplies; receive and process invoices
- Monitor and maintain physicians’ schedules and expense reports
- Prepare and maintain patient medical charts on daily basis (includes filing dictation, lab results, etc.) in collaboration with Medical Assistants
$19/hr - $22/hr based on experience

Salary/ Wage Range
$16.00 - $23.00 / hourCompensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
