    Job Summary and Qualifications

    In support of the Chief Medical Officer of the Urgent Care Service Line, the Director of Provider Operations leads the development and execution of all efforts to support onboarding and active UC providers while maintaining or increasing provider experience and retention. This leader managers the development and execution of all efforts to support stakeholders in relation to UC providers. The Director of Provider Relations provides oversight of the provider support teams and uses resources to generate measurable returns to benefit the company and our providers.

    DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:


    • Provides strategic leadership and expertise on all administrative services related to Urgent Care providers
    • Monitors strategies to ensure provider logs and documents, including but not limited to: UC provider handbook, provider roster, UC provider communication SharePoint site, medical director admin log, and DOT certification are updated and accurate and communicated as appropriate
    • In partnership with Quality infrastructure, provides leadership and direction to chart review quality initiative
    • Hire, train, and manage provider support team
    • Develop relevant performance metrics and conduct performance evaluations for direct reports
    • In partnership with recruitment, medical leadership and operations, support strategies to guide the execution of recruitment KPIs (sourcing concepts, referrals to site visits, site visits to sign and referrals to sign )
    • In partnership with recruitment, medical leadership and operations, provides leadership and direction to enhance provider onboarding experience
    • In partnership with medical leadership and operations, provides leadership and direction to enhance provider retention
    • In partnership with CMO, guides regional and market medical leaders on organizational structure, programmatic activity and enterprise standards associated with training and orientation programs
    • In partnership with CMO, strategizes, evaluates and organizes provider training programs, monitors utilization to understand impact and ensures regional and market medical leaders have access to the requisite tools
    • In partnership with regional and market medical leaders manages enterprise relationships with locums’ companies driving performance, accountability and sourcing success
    • In partnership with Human Resources and market operations, guides enterprise strategies on ensure active provider licensure and certifications documentation in relevant systems
    • Develop robust, enterprise reporting metrics to show performance for all areas, including but not limited to: provider onboarding timeliness, provider retention, and chart reviews
    • Partners with finance and central billing office on strategies to reduce and mitigation provider credentialing timelines and payor enrollment delays
    • Revise and maintain procedures, tools and metrics related to provider experience and retention
    • Seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency related to provider experience
    • Develop strategies to communicate, and maintain reports and documents supporting stakeholders, including but not limited to: provider quarter bonus deficiency reporting and UC provider data forms
    • Create and communicate an enterprise provider experience improvement plan to support operational metrics for an enhanced/improved provider experience and provider retention

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree required

    EXPERIENCE:

    • At least five years practice/urgent care/healthcare administration experience required
    • Relevant experience in provider relations, provider onboarding, and provider enrollment and credentialing are preferred
    • Supervisory experience required

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Skilled in establishing effective working relationships with providers, service line leaders, direct reports and HCA departments
    • Knowledge of physician office practice or urgent care center operations highly preferred
    • Effective problem-solving skills to include data analysis and judgment to make effective decisions
    • High Impact Communication & Executive Presence - Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Must demonstrate a high level of organization with the ability to plan and prioritize
    • Project Management: Skilled in project planning, task prioritization, effectively manages resources, outcomes measurement, and tracking. Takes initiative and exercises good judgment
    • Supervisory skills including hiring and performance management for direct reports
