Physician - Radiology examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases of the human body using x-ray and radioactive materials. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Being a Physician - Radiology treats benign and malignant growths with exposure to x-rays and radioisotopes. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Radiology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Radiology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. RESPONSIBILITIES:
A registered professional technologist assigned responsibilities of performing diagnostic radiologic services for hospital patients as well as out-patients sent from the clinics or physicians' offices.
HOURS:
Weekend package available - $1000 for entire shift worked, starts Friday at 5:00pm to Monday at 7:00am (end time negotiable).
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion Radiologic Technology School with ARRT board certification or eligibility to sit for boards and an Iowa Permit to Practice. Good communication skills and flexibility in scheduling are a necessity along with the ability to multitask. Strong attention to detail required. CT and Mammography experience preferred but not required.
