Physician - Radiology examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases of the human body using x-ray and radioactive materials. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Being a Physician - Radiology treats benign and malignant growths with exposure to x-rays and radioisotopes. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Radiology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Radiology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Cases / Procedures:
- 20% IR
- 80% Diagnostic
- UGI - sometimes with small bowel follow thru
- Arthrograms
- Myelograms
- Thoracentesis
- CT guided drains / aspirations
- U/s guided drains/aspirations
- Mammo not required but would be a plus
- CT
- MRI
- US
- Xray
- 50 RVUs/day
Requirements / Other:
- Board Certified
- Board Certified within 5 years
- Open to IMLC
- Can grant emergency privileges in order to start April 1
- Must do procedures, only MD on-site
