    Summary

    As a member of the Physician Services Department, the Physician Recruiter is responsible for vetting and recruiting new clinical staff, working closely with physician candidates, coordinating applicant interviews, participating in negotiating/closing deals, and initiating the hire process. Charged with creating and executing effective recruiting plans and managing the recruitment needs for all assigned medical practices.

     

    Must have the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. Willingness to implement recruiting strategies which include grassroots recruiting initiatives, job board ad creation and social media exposure. Expected to exhibit a high level of professionalism and confidentiality with reliable work ethics including excellent customer service skills; positive demeanor; outstanding provider relationship building, adhering to company policies, and ability to function amongst all levels of staff within a corporate structure.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Develop relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants through sourcing by utilizing tools such as job board postings, database sources, internet searches, leads/referrals and attending recruiting conferences and events.
    • Place physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants in practices by matching candidates skill level, licenses, preferences, board status, credentials, professional certifications as applicable per state and federal regulations.
    • Build and maintain an impressive pipeline of physician, nurse practitioner and physician assistant candidates.
    • Coordinate candidate onsite and virtual interviews with appropriate operational leadership as well as practice managers and lead providers. .
    • Follow up with candidates throughout the recruiting process including offers, negotiations, relocation and contract signing.
    • Maintains an understanding of innovative recruitment tools, technologies and best practices.
    • Leverages data and analytics to develop recruiting strategies and influence recruitment outcomes.
    • Apply excellent writing skills taking basic information to create compelling and interesting marketing materials.
    • Post marketing ads on the various job-boards that will bring exposure to DermCare open provider positions.
    • Assist in planning residency, trade shows and other recruiting events for Physician Services including venue selection, design, and distribution of invitations, tracking event information and RSVPs, nametag preparation, handling of flyers and supporting materials.
    • Assist Physician Services in the creation of monthly presentations, specifically for MOR and other department meetings when needed to showcase monthly recruitment performance, including accurate reporting of marketing monthly spend.
    • Maintain practice profile with the most current information on the practice, including number of exam rooms, services offered, office hours, staffing pattern.
    • Prepare employment agreements for providers who have been approved for hire.
    • Produce meticulous work, even when under pressure, taking the time to check the accuracy of the information before utilizing or disseminating the information to providers and media outlets.

     

    OTHER RELATED SKILLS & ABILITIES

     

    • Knowledge and/or experience working within an Applicant Tracking System and provider databases.
    • Knowledge of physician and midlevel educational track.
    • Knowledge of how contract management groups function.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
    • Ability to apply creative and innovative skills think outside the box in recruiting physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
    • Keen understanding of legal issues that impact physician recruiting activities such as restrictive covenants, employed vs contractor relationships.
    • Superb recruiting knowledge, expertise and understanding with the ability to easily build rapport, trust and influence with candidates.
    • Strong negotiation skills and medical professional compensation knowledge
    • Familiarity with multiple candidate-sourcing job boards.
    • Well-versed in the history and culture of the company. Having a good understanding of dermatology and plastic surgery training and required credentialing.
    • Superb organizational and follow-up skills; ability to prioritize and process a high volume of work while maintaining the highest quality
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software
    • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide as required.
    • Exercise of sound independent judgment and discretion
    • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
    • Ability to utilize resources, especially technology effectively and efficiently in the form of research to obtain reliable and useful information for marketing.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision accepting additional responsibilities as necessary to meet the needs of the department.
    • Prioritize and multi-task to meet stringent deadlines demonstrating excellent time management.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to interact effectively with physicians, colleagues, office managers and administrative staff.

    Qualifications


     

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications or related area preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience as a physician recruiter
    • Experience in a practice management environment or a search firm preferred

     

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

     

    Pleasant office environment. Stress situations may occur in preparing job board postings/sourcing and recruiting events to meet specific deadlines. May be required to work from home on occasions with approval. Expected to be productive and available during regular work hours while working from home.
