    Essential Functions:

    • Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate
    • Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
    • Create, update, negotiate and implement payor contracts to comply with state and federal regulations for Hospital, and physician office. Stays abreast of changing regulations from CMS, insurance commission and other regulatory partners.
    • Create and maintain contract terms database.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with contracting staff at insurance companies.
    • Respond to payors to assess interest in contracting with Family Health We
    • Facilitate development of proposed contract with terms favorable to Family Health West.
    • Advise Family Health West on favorable or unfavorable contract terms. Develop strategy for addressing shortfalls in contract terms by creating prioritization and timeline.
    • Monitor and educate FHW about developing legislation as new laws are put forth regarding contracts or reimbursement.
    • Facilitate acceptance or communicate rejection of contract by Family Health West
    • Serve as primary contact for contracting matters between FHW and the payor.
    • Is a resource to the facility, medical staff, patients for insurance questions and narrow-networks.
    • Formulates long and short-term goals for Provider enrollment. Integrates new developments when practical and cost effective.
    • Interacts and cooperates with physicians, management personnel and representatives of external agencies and clients.
    • Has a knowledge and understanding of the organizations internal and external customer needs and is committed to meeting or exceeding those expectations.
    • Provides meaningful data to support Financial Decisions.
    • Works with Director of Decision Support, to prepare regular and ad hoc reporting.
    • Maintains knowledge of the Financial and Decision Support systems, including data download routines, report writing/query procedures and knowledge of all data elements available.
    • Provides accurate and timely financial data analysis and reports related to payors contracts to assist management in decision-making process.
    • Assist with compiling and analysis of internal and external demographic data.
    • Increase productivity by developing automated processes, reporting and tools.
    • Participates on various facility committees. Makes efficient use of work time to accomplish assignments as well as the ability to accept or respond to change in the work environment in a way that promotes the organization’s goals and objectives.

    Wage Range: The wage range for this position is $44.23-$64.95
