Position: MD PHYSICIAN SERVICES

Location: 926 Veterans Drive, Hanson, KY 42413

• Nursing facility rounds as needed and per regulations.
• Resident Charting
• Provide 24 hour/day, 365 days per year call service.
• Coordinate Emergency care for JEBWKVC residents who may be admitted to a hospital.
• Coordinate transport of Western Kentucky Veterans Center residents to the closet acute care setting.
• Coordinate resident care of Western Kentucky Veterans Center resident in an acute care setting.

Supervising the medical care of resident’s means participating in the resident’s assessment and care planning, monitoring changes in resident’s medical status, and providing consultation or treatment when contacted by the facility. It also includes, but is not limited to prescribing medications and therapy, ordering a resident’s transfer to the hospital, conducting required routine visits or delegating to and supervising followup visits by NPPs.

It is the responsibility of the facility to ensure that another physician supervises the care of residents when

the attending physician is unavailable. The attending physician may designate another physician to act on

his/her behalf when unavailable. If the attending physician is unavailable and does not designate another

physician to act on his/her behalf and if the designated physician is unavailable, the facility must have a

physician available who will supervise the care of the attending physician’s residents.

• Physician must be qualified to provide services in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Physician must be licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
• Provider must not be an excluded Medicare/Medicaid provider.
• Provide service to all residents without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, age, sex, religion or
• handicap.
• The billing shall be handled by contractor under either Medicare Part B or private insurance according to
• federal regulations. The Contractor shall not bill JEBWKVC residents unless as noted in the document.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $175.00 - $185.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

• Hanson, KY: Relocate before starting work (Required)
