Physician Residency Coordinator oversees the administration and scheduling of the physician residency program of a healthcare organization. Coordinates and facilitates the activities of the physician residents and provides the resources necessary to fulfill curriculum requirements. Being a Physician Residency Coordinator ensures physician activities comply with governing bodies such as the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or other applicable regulations. Supports the recruitment and selection process of resident physicians. Additionally, Physician Residency Coordinator administers and maintains a system or database to manage schedules and physician performance metrics. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Physician Residency Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Required: M.D. or D.O degree. Current board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or osteopathic equivalent. Current, or eligible, medical licensure in Arizona. Eligible for successful appointment to Flagstaff Medical Center and The Guidance Center. At least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience
Preferred: Experience as a faculty member in an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency Program strongly preferred. Knowledge of ACGME and Review Committee policies and procedures preferred. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, creative and experienced leader and teacher, who can help skillfully build a curriculum, engage faculty colleagues, and become integrated with the local medical staff and the northern Arizona healthcare
