Physician Residency Coordinator oversees the administration and scheduling of the physician residency program of a healthcare organization. Coordinates and facilitates the activities of the physician residents and provides the resources necessary to fulfill curriculum requirements. Being a Physician Residency Coordinator ensures physician activities comply with governing bodies such as the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or other applicable regulations. Supports the recruitment and selection process of resident physicians. Additionally, Physician Residency Coordinator administers and maintains a system or database to manage schedules and physician performance metrics. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Physician Residency Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. The Nurse Residency Coordinator has responsibilities for the Nurse Residency Program at AdventHealth Ocala. The Nurse Residency Coordinator will also oversee and manage the Transition Nurse Programs, and the international nurse new-hires. The focus is on the daily requirements of these programs including the management of compliance with accreditation requirements, supporting program recruitment, management of resident needs and assisting with preceptor selection and orientation schedules, monthly lectures for the 12-month series, and any unit / departmental recognition and celebration activities. This position is responsible for supporting during the recruiting, interviewing, on-boarding and weekly rounding with nurses and leaders while in the designated time-frame of all program
