We're looking for a seasonal caretaker at AOS RR, Arts On Site Residency Retreat, a retreat center in Kerhonkson, in the Shawangunk Mountains. We’re looking for someone who enjoys cleaning, is detail oriented, and enjoys living in community. The caretaker role is a work trade opportunity with 14 hours of work each week in exchange for free accommodations at AOS RR. Accommodations include a private tiny house with bathroom kitchenette. Caretaker also has access to our communal kitchen shared bath house or shared bathroom. WORK PERIOD: July - November WORK SCHEDULE: 14 hours a week, 56 hours a month Friday, Saturday & Sunday: assist with rentals (6 hours, 2 hours/day) Monday: clean & reset all accommodations & facilities (8 hours) Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: off days JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Cleaning & Resetting Spaces Manage Linens & Blankets Guest Relations COMPENSATION: Free accommodations at AOS R&R: private tiny house AOS R&R is a Residency & Retreat Center offering uninhibited space in nature for artists, wellness practitioners, and outdoor enthusiasts. The property is located in Kerhonkson, NY, in the Shawangunk Mountains, 2 hours north of NYC, and features 20 acres of forest adjacent to Minnewaska State Park. Guests can enjoy access to the outdoors with hiking trails close by that lead to waterfalls and high mountain lakes. The center features two large studio spaces, a communal kitchen, bath house, and a series of yurts, cabins and canvas tents, with accommodations to host up to 25 guests. We're located in Kerhonkson, NY, close to Minnewaska State Park or Mohonk Preserve. There's an awesome brewery called Rough Cut at the bottom of the road and a trip to the grocery store is about 20 minutes away in Ellenville, or a trip to New Paltz is 30 minutes away. We're also close to Accord and Stone Ridge. There's a number of local farm markets close by in the Rondout Valley.
