POSITION PURPOSE:
Aviva Health is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Core Faculty Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Roseburg, OR. As a member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions.
This position provides primary health care, in a primary health care clinic, serving the low-income, working poor, homeless, and those individuals with barriers to health care, in Douglas County. The physician assumes the responsibility of routine patient care including assessment, diagnosis, and evaluation of injury and/or illness, and ordering of routine exams. Utilizes skills in providing diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems including, curative and preventive medical care, health promotion and education, continuing case evaluation and management. Ensures efficient and effective patient care through collaborative planning and problem-solving with Advanced Practice Providers, clinic staff, and volunteers. Acts as consultant for and provides guidance for Advanced Practice Providers regarding clinical practice issues.
Commit to training future family physicians to deliver quality health services to patients of diverse cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. You will teach the residents to treat all patients with dignity regardless of the patient’s background. Duties include teaching, mentoring, advising, and supervising residents, including overseeing resident scholarly activity, quality improvement, ensuring the quality of didactic and clinical education, and working directly with residents to ensure appropriate milestone development.
