    DESCRIPTION

    Under the direction of the Clinic Manager, the front desk coordinator performs and coordinates general front office duties, to include, but not limited to, reception, co-pay collection appointment scheduling and referral and authorization. Serves as a resource for patients, physicians, staff and ambulatory care service managers. Other related duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • A minimum of three (3) years previous related experience in a healthcare setting.
    • Experience with registration, appointment scheduling, and insurance and authorization verification.
    • Proven knowledge of third-party payors including federal, state, and private health plans.
    • Proficient computer skills/ability and to work between multiple systems during calls.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in an interactive environment.
    • Must possess excellent customer service skills; with ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written.
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Epic experience.

    SPECIAL CONDITIONS

    • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
    • Possible overtime. Must be willing and able to float to other locations as requested.
    • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

    Pay Transparency Act

    Annual Full Pay Range: $54,664 - $67,944 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

    Hourly Equivalent: $26.18 - $32.54

    Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
