Physician - Sports Medicine examines and treats sport or athletic related injuries. Prescribes and administers patient medications. Being a Physician - Sports Medicine monitors patient during sport events or physical activity and performs tests and prescribes medication and treatment, as necessary. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Additionally, Physician - Sports Medicine requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Sports Medicine's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. We are looking for an experienced, bright, responsible, dependable team player for our very busy Physiatry/Pain management clinical team. This is an on-site position in our Middlebury office, along with our 3 satellite locations.
Qualified candidate should have minimum of one year of healthcare receptionist experience, or equivalent experience in a customer service setting.
Candidate should consistently exhibit exceptional customer service while maintaining professional conduct. Must demonstrate superb written and verbal communication skills to patients, providers, and colleagues
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Answer inbound calls with curtesy and respect
- Schedule, cancel, reschedule appointments
- Verify demographic and insurance information
- Investigate patient inquiries
- Work with colleagues in a professional and collaborative environment
