Physician - Sports Medicine examines and treats sport or athletic related injuries. Prescribes and administers patient medications. Being a Physician - Sports Medicine monitors patient during sport events or physical activity and performs tests and prescribes medication and treatment, as necessary. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Additionally, Physician - Sports Medicine requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Sports Medicine's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. This position will be based at our East Greenwich and Wakefield offices.
About the job:- Practice will focus solely on MSK with no primary care responsibilities
- Join a collaborative MSK team of 2 other physicians, a pharmacist, care coordinator, medical assistant, and strong administrative support
- Enjoy a constant patient referral stream from Coastal PCP’s and the orthopedic community
- Provide care for patients with chronic musculoskeletal conditions as well as management of overuse and acute injuries for all ages
- Care for Coastal patients only, which results in strong and long relationships with Coastal’s primary care physicians and patients
- Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (1 admin day)
- No call
