Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an organized, compassionate, and efficient Office Assistant to join our team at Innovative Sports Medicine. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing administrative support across the organization, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming environment for everyone who comes through our doors.
Responsibilities:
● Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our medical office
● Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and handling cancellations through phone calls and emails
● Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, handling patient inquiries, filling, photocopying, and maintaining records in our electronic health records system.
● Assist in preparation and maintenance of patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
● Process billing and insurance claims
● Ensure the reception area remains clean and well-organized, creating a comfortable and stress-free waiting environment for patients
● Provide support to medical staff as needed, including preparing examination rooms and assisting with patient flow
● Manage and update social media content to improve patient engagement and promote office services
Experience:
● Associates degree or higher
● Previous experience in a medical office or similar setting is desirable
● Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
● Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google calendar
● Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
● A positive attitude, empathy, and ability to work well under pressure
