Pipefitter, Sr. jobs in Anderson, IN

ULG Skilled Trades has an immediate need for Journeyman Pipefitters in Logansport, IN .

Job Details:

• Pay: $34.00/hr and $100/per diem
• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: 60 per week
• Length: 2 months with roll over opportunities
• Duties include laying out, fabricating, assembling, and installing stainless and carbon industrial piping systems.
• Must have experience drawing ISO’s, reading blueprints, calculating take-offs, testing piping systems for leaks, and working out of lifts or scaffolds.
• Typical pipefitting assignments take place in ethanol plants, steel mills, cold storage, bio refineries, distribution centers, agricultural facilities, and manufacturing plants.

SCOPE:

• Fitting carbon and stainless pipe for pipe welders.
• must pass a written pipe fitters exam
• Must pass a hands on 3 hour pipe fitter test where they are handed pipe, pipe fittings and prints.  They have 3 hours to complete the test.
• This test is not easy.

Job Requirements:

• MUST provide updated resume documenting job history, duties, and applicable skill sets.
• Journeymen must have 5 years’ industrial pipefitting experience.
• Journeymen must possess all basic hand and power tools, torpedo levels, wraparounds, pipe wrenches, spud wrenches, center finders, banana wedges, crescent wrenches, lasers, channel locks, construction calculator, and any additional tools required for the assignment.
