Summary:

The Maintenance Manager will report to the Plant Manager and be responsible for the administration and continuous improvement of a total productive maintenance system, ensuring effectiveness, reliability, and sustainability of all facility manufacturing and building assets.

Responsibilities:

• Create a proactive preventative maintenance program
• Schedule maintenance workloads, preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Programming, troubleshooting, modifying and/or repairing machines and other equipment. Troubleshooting, replacing and/or repairing machine components including cylinders, pumps, motors, spindles, fixtures, slides, valves, gears, switches and bearings.
• Interface with all departments regarding maintenance schedules and problems.
• Prioritize maintenance task and work assignments for planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
• Scheduling maintenance staff working hours to provide appropriate coverage for production including overtime requirements.
• Provide coaching and development to the maintenance team. Identify opportunities for training (internally or externally provided) to strengthen the skillset of the maintenance team.
• Maintain adequate spare parts inventory.
• Adjusting to the changing needs of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Pay attention to detail and solve problems quickly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred by not required.
• 5 years direct supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
