Pipeline Maintenance Manager oversees the repair and maintenance of pipelines. Verifies pipeline safety. Being a Pipeline Maintenance Manager schedules repairs and maintenance. Additionally, Pipeline Maintenance Manager develops safety procedures for pipeline maintenance and ensures workers are trained and in compliance. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Pipeline Maintenance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Pipeline Maintenance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Position Summary
In coordination with the Production Manager and Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for set up and maintenance of injection molders, auto assembly machines, and production equipment, and managing the work of maintenance on all 3 shifts in a 24/7 operation in the injection molding and auto assembly areas. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for managing and/or overseeing the maintenance on the water, electrical, and HVAC systems within the facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot injection molding and auto assemblies for efficient operations
- Analyze, implement, and track preventative maintenance program for the facility including an inventory system for spare parts and supplies; ensure preventative maintenance is completed at appropriate intervals
- Review work orders daily for area and plan work effectively
- Walk through facilities regularly to identify and address maintenance issues
- Review production schedules daily and assign work accordingly to maintenance techs
- Ensure sound economic decisions are being made for purchased items
- Hire, train, and develop staff
- Seek out and address safety issues throughout the facility daily
- Ensure the department is represented at monthly safety committee meetings
- Review status of new and ongoing projects on a weekly basis
- Review daily operations to discuss previous 24-hour performance and ways to improve
- Communicate and interact with engineering team for ongoing process improvements and problem solving
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required
- Associate degree in electronics or manufacturing automation technologies, highly preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience and/or training in a plastic injection molding environment
- Minimum 5 years experience in facility maintenance
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
- Experienced in operating a variety of tools and equipment safely
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Able to work well with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
- Good organizational and housekeeping skills
