We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment to perform tasks such as digging around existing utilities in congested areas to place waterline.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment mainly pertaining to 9,000 lbs excavataors to 30,000 lbs excavators.
- Perform tasks such as digging, hauling, grading, and leveling of materials
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of heavy equipment operations
- Proficiency in operating excavating equipment around congested utililties
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or construction plans
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to withstand long hours of work in various weather conditions
