  • Job Summary:
    Monitors, maintains, and controls the safe, healthy, and environmentally sound operations of the Gas processing Plant.

    • Self-motivated.

    · Reviews and monitors prior shift to check for accuracy, daily computer log and scan process screens.

    • Good working knowledge of all process equipment including power generation, turbines, compressors, exchangers, etc.
    • Able to work alone; acknowledging, responding to, and initiating corrections/actions to process alarms within a complicated and highly automated plant and control system.
    • Monitors and maintains process conditions, makes changes as necessary, and records in daily logbook.
    • Communicate and work with all plant personnel, and 3rd party company personnel for daily operation of the gas plant systems.
    • Assist with ongoing maintenance and general housekeeping of the control room.
    • Able to procure necessary materials and supplies to complete daily tasks.
    • Monitors process using Process Control Network or local indication to ensure proper plant operations.
    • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by adhering to legal and environmental regulations, and conducting inspections.
    • Assist in investigating faulty machinery/mechanical equipment, refer to equipment manuals, and makes appropriate work orders in the maintenance management system when necessary.

    · Clean and lubricating mechanical equipment to keep it running properly.

    · Monitors and reads gauges to verify sufficient levels of fluids, pressures, and temperatures.

    · Take and analyze water and amine samples.

    · Enter data for daily reports.

    · Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management System.

    · Participates in employee training program.

    · Utilizes and maintains personal protective equipment.

    · Knowledgeable of Site Specific Emergency Response Plan.

    Qualifications:

    · Has successfully completed the San Juan Gas Plant Operations Training.

    · Ability to work solo on a 12-hour rotating schedule which includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

    · Ability to cover shifts with overtime if needed.

    · Ability to accurately troubleshoot and solve problems.

    · Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.

    · Good written and verbal communication skills.

    • Basic mathematics, computer, and good administrative and organizational skills.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.

    Ability to maintain the integrity of the plant process.

    Education Requirements:

    · Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
