Position Summary :

Performs intensive physical construction maintenance and transport duties as a part of the PPS construction team. Lifts / carries materials and performs other duties involving the use of hand and power tools.

Duties also include but are not limited to digging trenches or ditches, backfill and compact and level earth. Must be physically capable of standing, sitting, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50lbs.

Candidate must be willing to learn and capable of following detailed instructions.

Essential Job Functions :

• Transportation, Loading / Unloading of materials, equipment, and tooling.
• Ensure that fleet and tooling are maintained and in good working order that comply with company safety standards and DOT regulations, as well as all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
• Move pipe and associated tools and materials.
• Clean up rubble and debris; perform other restoration such as blacktop and landscape.
• Perform technical construction and repair on major utility pipelines.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment and materials.
• Safe and efficient operation of required heavy equipment and vehicles.

Position Qualifications :

• Valid CDL license
• Personal transportation available to and from job site.
• Must pass Operator Qualification exams and hands-on exam.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
