Responsibilities

• Scheduling surgeries and procedures for all specialties
• Coordinate all required testing and procedures
• Ensure all required pre-testing, patient information and consents have been obtained and are on-site prior to patient’s admission to hospital
• Demonstrate good judgment in scheduling procedures to both meet patient needs and increase physician productivity.
• Acting as a liaison with patients, referrals, general practitioners, health care professionals, and patient’s family members in a compassionate and kind manner
• Relaying and confidentially communicating both orally and in written form any notes or questions patients may have
• Other office responsibilities, assigned by supervisor or Physician, as deemed necessary

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• 1 year or more experience in a Hospital or Physician Practice setting, preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
• Prior understanding and use of Electronic Health Record (EMR), preferred

Preferred Job Requirements

• Associates, High School Diploma, or GED equivalent
