Additionally, Pipelines Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Pipelines Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Pipelines Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Additional information about the company can be found online at www.bwpipelines.com.   We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/ Field Technician/ Sr. Field Technician for our Bowling Green, KY office.   POSITION DESCRIPTION:   This position is responsible for Pipeline operations. Individual will be required to operate and maintain all pipeline facilities. Handle facility encroachment activities including pipe location, excavation and inspection. May be required to take the lead on jobs and direct the actions of others. Will be expected to participate in the on call duties of the area and respond to “call-outs”. Employee shall demonstrate an ongoing proficiency in leadership and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities also include compliance documentation for assigned area and the successful completion of all the Operator Qualification tasks assigned specifically for this position.   This position will be located at our Bowling Green, KY office.   Normal work hours for this position are 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. weekdays; however, this position is subject to occasional call-out and schedule adjustments as necessary.   This position's primary area of responsibility will our Bowling Green, KY pipeline district. Successful candidate will be required to reside within 30 miles of our Bowling Green, KY office.   REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:   Individual must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel, as well as strong critical thinking and problem solving skills and a strong ability for prioritizing and scheduling multiple projects.  This individual should also have experience with Microsoft programs as well as the ability to read, comprehend, and follow Company procedures and manufacturers guidelines.  Physical requirements of the role include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet in order to transfer tools and equipment, the ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns, and the ability to work alone as required in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments.  Valid Driver’s license with safe driving record is required and the ability to operate an all-terrain vehicle.
