Pipelines Manager manages day-to-day operational aspects of natural gas and/or crude oil pipeline. Plans and develops enhancements of pipelines to troubleshoot pipeline problems. Being a Pipelines Manager ensures that the department's objectives meet the regulations, industry standards, production targets, and quality standards. Determines expenses for pipeline system usage. Additionally, Pipelines Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Pipelines Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Pipelines Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/ Field Technician/ Sr. Field Technician for our Hall Summit, LA office. POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance at our Hall Summit Compressor Station. Will be required to comply with all Company, DOT, OSHA, and Environmental rules and regulations. Learn the Company OMS process for documenting job functions as required. Occasionally required to perform unscheduled or emergency work. Position will be required to learn to operate the Hall Summit Compressor Station. Individual will need to be self-motivated and work with limited supervision and when qualified, participate in the On-Call duties, and respond to call outs, as necessary. Normal work hours for this position are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM EST Monday – Friday, however this position is subject to occasional schedule adjustments as needed. The successful candidate for this position will be required to live within 30 miles of the Hall Summit Compressor Station. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: Individual must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel, as well as strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and a strong ability for prioritizing and scheduling multiple tasks. Experience with Microsoft programs as well as the ability to read, comprehend, and follow company procedures and manufacture’s guidelines. Physical requirements of the role include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 ft. in order to transfer tools and equipment, the ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns, and the ability to work alone as required in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy and wet environments. Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record is required and the ability to operate an all-terrain vehicle. Must have strong commitment to personal and team safety.
