Plan Design Coordinator works closely with clients to design group health, dental and/or life insurance plans to create an overall benefit package. Works alongside underwriters, but is not an underwriter role. Being a Plan Design Coordinator ensures that plan meets appropriate internal, as well as legislative guidelines. Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Plan Design Coordinator typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Plan Design Coordinator works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. The Coordinator will help bridge the gap from design to build. This job requires multiple interfaces with multiple platforms. Ideally, this person will assist both the design and build departments with logistics and administration support. This role is primarily administrative, providing insight into design, estimating, and building. For the right candidate, this role could grow into full-time work and incorporate further work into one of the departments.
