Summary:

Our home design firm and retail shop is looking for a qualified and part-time Accounting Specialist to perform accounting duties 15-20 hours weekly. The schedule is flexible M-F. This position will include responsibility for managing accounts payable and the procurement of merchandise from the purchase order to the receiving of merchandise in our industry specific accounting software. Training will be provided.

Accounting Specialist responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable with vendors, including processing chargebacks
• Conduct periodic inventory cycles
• Provide client statements as needed
• Maintain orderly filing system
• Process merchandise order with 70 vendors
• Participate in cycle inventories
• Daily communication with warehouse, designers and management
• Maintain office supplies and equipment
• Assist in special projects
• Flexible to the needs of the small business
• Work closely with management
• File monthly sales tax
