Plan Design Specialist works closely with clients to design group health, dental and/or life insurance plans to create an overall benefit package. Works alongside underwriters, but is not an underwriter role. Being a Plan Design Specialist monitors and analyzes cost trends. May handle more complex plan design. Additionally, Plan Design Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Plan Design Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST
Under the general supervision of the Head of Finance, perform a variety of accounting and clerical functions required to process Accounts Receivable and related paperwork. Own the Accounts Receivable/Collections process.
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
· Responsible for billings and collections of accounts, including effectively investigating, identifying and follow-up to determine legitimacy for delinquent accounts.
· Assist with answering incoming phone calls and customer service requests.
· Perform credit checks.
· Filing of small claims or outside collections as necessary.
· Access and interact with various online customer portals.
· Daily, consistent communication with our customers, office & field personnel, and various vendors.
· Perform various daily financial transactions, including verifying payments, posting accounts receivables’ data, journal entries, etc...
· Process customer payments accurately and timely, process customer refunds, review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments, small balance write off, and customer reconciliations. Assist in the problem solving of accounts with issues. Interface and develop solid working relationships with Branch and Project Managers, other team members, and customers.
· Maintain an up-to-date filing system
SECONDARY ELEMENTS
· Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.
REQUIREMENTS
· 3 years working in a fast-paced Collections (including billing) environment preferred.
· Landscaping/construction industry experience preferred.
· Proven track record of timely collections.
· Proactive approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent time management and prioritization skills required.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work within a matrix structure and effectively build relationships with all levels of the organization.
· Highly detail oriented and excellent analytical skills.
· High level of professionalism.
· Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Customer service oriented.
· Previous Sage/Timberline experience.
