Plan Design Specialist works closely with clients to design group health, dental and/or life insurance plans to create an overall benefit package. Works alongside underwriters, but is not an underwriter role. Being a Plan Design Specialist monitors and analyzes cost trends. May handle more complex plan design. Additionally, Plan Design Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Plan Design Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Job Summary

    Responsibilities will include research & development projects in Game Studies and Design, teaching undergraduate courses for Game Studies & Design (on-campus, online, or hybrid), and summer youth outreach activities.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Support Game Studies & Design research and/or development projects.

    • Collaborate on game design, development, and coding.
    • Support research projects by programming game modules, and coding modules embedded in games, surveys or other automated methods that may be used for data collection.

    Teach 2-3 courses during the academic year.

    Teach summer youth camps.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Art, Art Education, Computer Science, Design, Education, Information Science, Media) ; Three years of combined teaching and professional experience in a field relevant to the intended field of instruction. Merit-based exceptions to this qualification will be considered.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Post-baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) in a related field (e.g., Art, Art Education, Computer Science, Design, Education, Information Science, Media)

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Demonstration of adequate knowledge and skills to teach Informatics and/or Game Studies & Design courses.

    Appointment Information

    This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. Salary is commensurate with experience.
