Plan Design Specialist works closely with clients to design group health, dental and/or life insurance plans to create an overall benefit package. Works alongside underwriters, but is not an underwriter role. Being a Plan Design Specialist monitors and analyzes cost trends. May handle more complex plan design. Additionally, Plan Design Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Plan Design Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. - Designs electronic communications including emails, web banners, and digital marketing.
- Designs collateral materials, including brochures, and sales literature.
- Designs e-catalog pages, including updating existing product information and/or entering new product information following established design guidelines and template.
- Identifies correct photo images for products for placement in print and electronic marketing materials.
- Places copy descriptions within product literature, e-catalogs, emails, and digital marketing materials, proofing them for accuracy.
- Ensures that company brand guidelines are maintained as well as follows established brand guidelines for manufacturer partners.

Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Required Skills/Abilities:- Must demonstrate strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver) and Microsoft Office Suite on a Mac platform.
- Website design experience (Umbraco, WordPress, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills to successfully interact with marketing department staff, other internal and external departments, and external customers and vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while showing a keen attention to detail.
- Digital photography skills a plus.
- Salesforce Pardot experience a plus.
Education and Experience:- Bachelor's or associate degree in Graphic Design, Communications or Marketing.
- At least 1-3 years' related experience required.
Travel:- Ability to travel up to 10 percent of the time.
Physical Requirements: (In compliance with ADA)This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 20lbs.
- Ability to be physically in attendance at their designated workstation at our headquarters or home office location during normal business hours designated for this position.
- Ability to travel up to 10 percent of the time.
