Plan Design Specialist works closely with clients to design group health, dental and/or life insurance plans to create an overall benefit package. Works alongside underwriters, but is not an underwriter role. Being a Plan Design Specialist monitors and analyzes cost trends. May handle more complex plan design. Additionally, Plan Design Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Plan Design Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. The Media Design Prevention Specialist 2 plans, implements, documents, and evaluates substance abuse and/or mental health promotion services through developing and maintaining websites and social media for 6 local coalitions and the Family Wellness program. The focus will be the development and management of media that support environmental strategies which help decrease substance abuse and other risky behaviors, while strengthening protective factors. This position is Full Time and is grant-funded.
Prevention Specialists use effective prevention concepts, best practices, and strategies in media design and messaging to reduce substance abuse and promote positive mental health. They develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with multiple community and organizational partners. They utilize a variety of best practices, evidence-based programs, and other strategies to develop and implement prevention plans to reduce substance abuse community-wide.
