Plan Design Specialist works closely with clients to design group health, dental and/or life insurance plans to create an overall benefit package. Works alongside underwriters, but is not an underwriter role. Being a Plan Design Specialist monitors and analyzes cost trends. May handle more complex plan design. Additionally, Plan Design Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Environmental Works Community Design Center is seeking a part-time ( /- 20hrs per week) Graphic Designer/Social Media Specialist to be a member of our team with opportunities for growth within our non-profit organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
The person in this position will work closely with the Community Relations Manager and Executive Director of the organization. This position will assist in the day-to-day graphic & marketing tasks, which requires the ability to multitask, be a self-starter, and to collaborate well with a variety of people.
Provide graphic design and marketing support to our Community Relations team.
Creating graphics and maintain brand standards in a variety of medium
Assisting in laying out a high volume of proposals
Providing graphic support to the architecture staff (wayfinding, posters, presentations, etc)
Supporting social media content creation and
Assisting with external events & marketing events (Trade Shows, Career Fairs, etc)
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
3 years of post-secondary education or experience in related field such as visual communications, marketing, graphic design.
The ability to coordinate with multiple staff and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented, able to prioritize and perform various tasks in a timely manner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
SOFTWARE PROGRAM KNOWLEDGE
Advanced knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
Microsoft Office Suite
DESIRABLE QUALITIES INCLUDE:
Knowledge of and experience in photography, experiential design, proposal creation & copywriting is a plus. Self-motivation with a desire to learn more and share learning experiences in a collaborative atmosphere. The ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
BENEFITS SUMMARY:
Salary range for this position: $28-$32/hr depending on experience
Base Medical, Vision, Disability and Life insurance are 100% employer paid for employee only coverage. Where available, plan upgrades and dependent coverage are paid by the employee.

PTO – our time off benefit is lumped into one accrual (including sick, vacation, and holiday) and can be used at the employee’s discretion. PTO accrues at a rate of .1 hour of PTO for every hour worked which is equivalent to 5 weeks (208 hours) of PTO per year based on a 40-hour work week. Up to 120 hours can be carried over each year.
