Works alongside underwriters, but is not an underwriter role. Being a Plan Design Specialist monitors and analyzes cost trends. May handle more complex plan design. New Method Packaging is a corrugated converter that designs packaging products for the foodservice industry. Currently looking to fill an art & design position.
We have a great opportunity in a growing, fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service, teamwork, and quality. This role is primarily responsible for illustrating concepts by designing samples and art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval. This role will function as the primary point of contact for all things art/design related. The employee will prepare finished art by operating the necessary equipment and software. Also coordinates with outside agencies, customers, and colleagues as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Use Adobe Creative Suite, specifically illustrator and photoshop to create product art for customers based on their specific needs. Very little new logo creation will be needed.
· Use AutoCAD LT (by Autodesk) or ArtiosCAD (by Esko) software and equipment to design, produce & package physical samples per customer request.
· Follow the art for the entirety of the lifecycle from creation to final product.
· Other administrative and art related tasks as assigned by management.
· Occasional customer interaction as it pertains to art/design.

Experience and Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· One year of design experience
· Familiarity with OSHAA regulations as they pertain to New Method Packaging.
Bonus/Preferred:
· Experience in ArtiosCAD (by Esko)
· Experience with Use AutoCAD LT (by Autodesk) or ArtiosCAD (by Esko) software
· Pay: This position will receive 20 hours of on-call pay per week at minimum wage, just to be on-call, even if you are not assigned any work. When work is assigned to you, you'll clock in and receive your normal hourly wage for those hours worked.
