    Position: 

    The Construction Safety Advisor I is a support position within the Compliance and Safety Department, reporting to the Safety Manager. This position supports the operation of project-specific compliance and safety for power line and substation construction. 

    What You'll Do

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform on-site Employee Safety Orientation
    • Build professional relationships with crew members and client project personnel
    • Required record keeping per client and SLC
    • Manage onsite Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory
    • Conduct incident investigation process
    • Lead on-site project meetings
    • Perform and document weekly safety training
    • Observe daily work tasks to identify risks and document daily observations
    • Assist with creation and maintenance of site specific safety plans for new projects
    • Complete near miss/good catch report
    • Document detailed incident reports
    • Monthly overall observation reporting

    What You'll Bring

    Education and Experience:

      • High school graduate and/or GED equivalent
      • 2 years minimum related experience (ideally within power line construction)
      • OSHA 30 certification and/or related safety certification, preferred
      • Understanding of Federal and State safety regulations and training requirements.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with web-based tracking software.
      • Must complete alcohol and drug test screenings.
