Planner/Scheduler - Construction jobs in Albuquerque, NM

We are currently seeking Construction Estimators to join our team. The full-time, salaried position has full benefits that include competitive pay, health insurance, paid time off, retirement benefits, short-term/ long-term disability, and life insurance. This position is responsible for generating accurate and comprehensive job cost estimates and collaborating with market specialty contractors.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the development of estimates to maximize project performance and profitability.
• Oversee and/or facilitate scope of work, material procurement, and scope of work analysis for assigned scopes or bids.
• Develop close working relationships with subcontractors throughout the region.
• Define scopes of work for subcontractors in order to effectively analyze bids. Confer with subcontractors to ensure full scope coverage and address questions.
• Attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work, estimating resources required, competition, and owner concerns.
• Support and review bid and/or proposal documents, including project schedules.
• Coordinate preconstruction estimates and production of bid packages/subcontractor solicitation documents.
• Implement a complete understanding of local, state, and federal procurement codes/regulations.
• Maintain the company's internal bid processes and coordination.
• Coordinate project buy-out as necessary.
• Identify proposal and initial project execution strategies to support robust project hand-offs to the Project Manager(s).
• Maintain historical cost data.
• Visit active job sites to compare ongoing construction to preconstruction/bidding process.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in construction estimating.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in construction estimation software and tools.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to construction bidding.
