As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting practices, job cost accounting and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform double-entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile balance sheets and bank statements
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial issues or discrepancies
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices
- Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping
- Familiarity with financial report writing
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
