SUMMARY

D&H is actively seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Planning & Marketing Operations to join our growing marketing team. Reporting directly to the SVP of Marketing, this role will enhance processes and operational capabilities across the marketing organization to enhance quality, efficiency, and value delivered by our marketing resources. The incumbent will oversee departmental processes, marketing project management, and event planning functions to ensure timely, brand-aligned, and cost-effective delivery of marketing for D&H and vendor partners to the IT channel ecosystem.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Strategy Development: Develop and lead the planning and marketing operations strategy & vision for the U.S. & Canada.

·       Planning: Drive annual and quarterly allocations of recovery and budgets by marketing function and team to ensure alignment with goals. Manage marketing line card and inventory. Collaborate with Marketing Leadership on quarterly and annual strategic planning processes while ensuring key marketing initiatives and goals are met.

·       Process Management: Design, implement, and maintain operational policies to foster collaboration and communication across marketing and cross-functional teams. Lead internal communication efforts to provide clarity on marketing processes, goals, and results. Govern processes to ensure adherence to best practices and compliance with legal and brand requirements. The core responsibilities include managing deadlines, project requirements, vendor marketing activity implementation, proof of performance (POP) packaging, and Market Development Funds (MDF) claims.

·       Project Management: Manage capacity planning for traffic and project management resources for highest priority efforts. Develop and optimize marketing project workflows to increase speed to market, ensuring systems, standards, processes, and controls are in place to support end-to-end marketing services and event production workflows.

·       Event Management: Lead event strategy, development, and execution for all D&H owned events, including flagship conferences.

·       Budget Oversight: Track spending by marketing activity and vehicle owner, partnering with vendor marketing teams to forecast, manage expenses, and identify accruals.

·       Financial Alignment: Serve as the point of contact for the finance team, leading financial processes for marketing, including month-end reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and annual budget planning.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

·       Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.

·       Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing operations, planning, or related roles within the technology or distribution industry.

·       Proven track record of strategic planning and execution in marketing operations, with demonstrated success in driving efficiency and effectiveness.

·       Strong understanding of marketing processes, project management methodologies, and event planning best practices.

·       Experience in budget management, financial reporting, and analysis, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

·       Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

·       Proficiency in project management tools such Adobe Workfront

·       Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
