Additionally, Plant Accountant typically requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Job Summary:The Plant Accountant will work closely with the accounting and finance team to ensure efficient and accurate financial related to plant operations. This position will perform accounting and clerical tasks supporting efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger transactions, and expense transactions.Responsibilities include but are not limited to…- Month-End and Year-End Duties: Prepare for and assist the monthly reconciliation process and assist with journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and expense accounts.
- Analyze variances compared to standards, forecasting, budget and prior year. Resolve and report accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as necessary
- Assist the inventory team with reconciliations and support cycle-count processes
- Provide cross-departmental reporting and analysis to support and evaluate business operations.
- Capital expenditure tracking and analysis
- Audit Assistance: Assist with preparation for financial audit and coordinate the audit process
- Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis projects, providing valuable insights to aid decision-making processes within the organization.
- Miscellaneous analysis and projects as required
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
- Two years of experience in financial reporting or accounting in a manufacturing organization, preferably within the auto or aerospace industries.
- Commitment to Excellence and Teamwork.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be proficient in other Microsoft applications.
- Knowledge and experience of accounting computer applications.
- Above Average Level of proficiency in Excel.
