SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The organized entry-level accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of a variety of financial records. The responsibilities of entry-level accountants include maintaining the financial records of the company through analyzing general ledger accounts, as well as preparing reports. This position requires accurate review of financial information and preparation of financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, costs, or other financial activities within an organization - and to do so in a timely and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

• Review, reconcile, post and process payments (checks, wires, online payments) for accounts payable
• Review, reconcile, and collect accounts receivables accounts
• Process customer payments daily
• Assist in the monthly inventory count
• Compile data for weekly report sent to Controller
• Create monthly sales tax entries based off sales and purchases and file yearly report
• Match invoices to P.O.’s
• Price checks
• Scanning, filing and mailing checks

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting discipline required
