Plant Accountant provides accounting services for a plant. Responsibilities include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Being a Plant Accountant complies and prepares analysis and reports of accounting activity and data. Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and reconciliations. Additionally, Plant Accountant typically requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Maintain inventory and production control systems and related records
Assist with annual physical inventories and cycle count process
Oversee the fixed asset count process and associated reconciliation
Partners with Engineering on timing of capital projects and spend to accurately forecast working capital. Assists
with and reviews DCFs/project charters, as required.
Assist with month end closing including the preparation of month end journal entries
Assist with completion of monthly account reconciliations
Maintain and track scrap buyback and customer toll programs
Financial analysis and reporting on results and trends of operations primarily production and inventory data
Responsible for scrapping, inventory adjustments and a key member of MRB team
Assist In Scrap values and intra-company scrap pricing.
Assist Tracking E&O, LCM, and FCA inventory.
Maintain reconciliation for duty drawback and claims related to imported raw materials.

Maintain subledger accounts related to Goods Receipts/Invoice Receipts
Assist with internal and external audits
Ensures compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and
Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements in conjunction with scope of work.
Assist with creating budgets, forecasts and activity rates
Recommends process improvements and standardization to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness within the
Accounting/Finance department.
