Plant Accounting Manager manages all financial control and accounting activities of a plant including general and cost accounting, payables/receivables and payroll. Ensures the plant's financial control processes and systems comply with company policies, applicable regulations, and provide required information. Being a Plant Accounting Manager monitors plant operation results against operating plans and direct the preparation of financial, production output, and other reports used to measure and control plant activities and costs. Leads the plant financial and capital budgeting process. Additionally, Plant Accounting Manager recommends and implements programs to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs. May require a CPA. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Plant Accounting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating all new product launch activities and implementation of tooling and product changes within the operation.
1. Coordinate completion of EGP Cost Estimate/Feasibility responses; cost of production for new parts.2. Coordinates Plant activities supporting APQP as reflected in the local Obeya Process (VOPEX Launch Board assignments).3. Coordinates Plant Deliverables within program timelines (meet customer milestones).4. All product prototypes/pre-launch parts delivered on time and to customer specifications (MRDs).5. All required APQP documentation submitted correctly and on time6. Facilitate customer visits for new product launch or changes7. Use acquired knowledge and analytical abilities to propose solutions and execute APQP effectively 8. Support Customer-owned tooling invoicing and audits.9. Support the local Plant Manager’s System for Management as it relates to new product development and Launch Readiness .10. Support regional KPI’s for Plant Launch Readiness.
