PURPOSE –
The primary function is to plan, organize and direct activities to achieve the business' objectives in employee safety, product quality, on time delivery, cost and product innovation while being compliant with local and international laws and regulations. This person will communicate on a regular basis with external authorities, consultants, suppliers, industrial relations, and will have significant interface with all of the functions and departments, as well as, all other global manufacturing locations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES –
Direct Leadership for Yorba Linda Plant (approx 100 people).
Responsible for the manufacturing of Implant Systems products sold by Nobel Biocare.
Responsible for managing the manufacturing, planning, enginering, and maintenance functions in the Yorba Linda operations. Also responsible for procurement, environmental, health, safety & security, and facilities at the Yorba Linda site. Play a leadership role for all operations function at the Yorba Linda site.
Develop and implement strategies to: 1. establish a safe working environment; 2. achieve product quality that meets or exceeds documented standards; 3. meet service level, inventory and budget targets; 4. meet all regulatory requirements; 5. introduce new products on time; 6. communicate effectively within the plant and across Nobel Biocare and its external suppliers and partners.
Supervisory responsibilities include the direct supervision of manufacturing, engineering, planning, and EHS managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities including: training; planning; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing compliance and solving problems.
