Plant Accounting Manager manages all financial control and accounting activities of a plant including general and cost accounting, payables/receivables and payroll. Ensures the plant's financial control processes and systems comply with company policies, applicable regulations, and provide required information. Being a Plant Accounting Manager monitors plant operation results against operating plans and direct the preparation of financial, production output, and other reports used to measure and control plant activities and costs. Leads the plant financial and capital budgeting process. Additionally, Plant Accounting Manager recommends and implements programs to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs. May require a CPA. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Plant Accounting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Summary/Objective
As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of a manufacturing plant with approximately 100 employees. This role involves overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, safety, quality, maintenance, and personnel management. You will report directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain and you will lead a team of 5-6 direct reports to ensure the plant's performance aligns with company goals and objectives.

This position has five direct reports – Environmental Manager, Plant Engineer, Plant Superintendent, Plant Technical Services Manager, and Scheduling & Shipping Manager.
Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The candidate is frequently exposed to noise, dust, and some chemicals, and moving mechanical parts requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and non-skid shoes.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, sit, walk, stand, and hear. This may be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, kneel and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, with various hours. This position regularly requires long hours and some weekend work.
Travel
This position requires up to 10% travel. Frequently travel is within the local area to other plants.
