Plant Accounting Manager manages all financial control and accounting activities of a plant including general and cost accounting, payables/receivables and payroll. Ensures the plant's financial control processes and systems comply with company policies, applicable regulations, and provide required information. Being a Plant Accounting Manager monitors plant operation results against operating plans and direct the preparation of financial, production output, and other reports used to measure and control plant activities and costs. Leads the plant financial and capital budgeting process. Additionally, Plant Accounting Manager recommends and implements programs to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs. May require a CPA. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Plant Accounting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Accounting Manager
Location: 100% On-Site in our Syosset, NY Headquarters
Role Summary:
The Accounting Manager will report to the Corporate Controller and will supervise the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Using your leadership skills, you will oversee current processes, and ensure the continuity and efficiency of new processes, while offering insight and feedback to Management, as necessary. Supervision of team members, management of employee workload, and monitoring employee output for timeliness and accuracy will be required.
We are eager to speak with professionals who possess a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, with experience in Accounting. (CPA certification is a plus!) The ideal candidate has the supervisory experience, can work collaboratively in a team environment, possesses an eye for detail, is deadline-oriented, and has exceptional verbal and written communication skills. An established record of problem resolution, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to build efficiencies and streamline processes whenever possible is imperative.
