Plant General Manager directs, manages, and optimizes a plant or production facility's overall operations and financial performance (P&L). Sets policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Being a Plant General Manager systematically collects operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to meet revenue and cost goals. Supports the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, Plant General Manager ensures robust plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures are implemented to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Leads labor relations negotiations and engages with union leadership involving plant operations. Oversees multi-functional plant teams including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, finance or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Plant General Manager manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Plant General Manager typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience.     POSITION SUMMARY:

    • The Plant Manager will be responsible for leading plant operations in meeting objectives as identified by the Parker Hannifin Corporate's WIN Strategy.
    • The Plant Manager will implement the Parker Lean system and strategy to ensure a safe work environment, maximize profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a technically qualified workforce, and reduce operating costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvements.
    • Oversee day-to-day activities to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations.
    • The Plant Manager maintains good standing in the community and protects the reputation of the Corporation.
    • Serves as the representative in local government matters related to the Plant and the Company.
    • The Plant Manager will be accountable for Plant operations to achieve results identified by the Parker Hannifin Corporation's Win Strategy.
    • The Plant Manager will lead the Naples Team of empowered employees to continuously achieve and exceed customer expectations.
    • Broad responsibility and leadership for overall Plant operations.
    • The Plant Manager will oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly expectations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • To profitably grow the business unit consistently and annually. Works with current and potential customers to promote and leverage company technologies, systems, products and services.
    • Establishes and maintains premier customer service. Leads by example.
    • Leads strategy deployment for the business unit concentrating on lean initiatives, strategic pricing and strategic procurement. Leads Operating, Manufacturing, Engineering, Information Technology, Human Resources, Lean Accounting, Planning, Sales/Marketing and New Product Development functions to ensure operational efficiency and economy.
    • Accountable for driving lean initiatives, strategic procurement and strategic pricing initiatives throughout the operation to ensure they are fully embraced and implemented.
    • Develops a budget plan and manages the business unit within budget constraints.
    • Maintains familiarity with competitive environment within geographical area of responsibility.
    • Represents the operation at the business unit and division levels.
    • Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
    • Ensures that the business unit conform to local, state and federal government regulations. Promotes business unit within industry, manufacturing, trade associations and local community.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Required bachelor's degree | Master's or MBA degree is desired.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Manufacturing environment and/or Aerospace
    • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem-solving/resolution skills and a team focus.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to Management, customers, and employees.
    • Practical experience in implementing lean technologies and practices.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills. Six Sigma preferred.

    Work Authorization:

    • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. * 120.15 is required. U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident is required for most positions.
