Plant General Manager directs, manages, and optimizes a plant or production facility's overall operations and financial performance (P&L). Sets policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Being a Plant General Manager systematically collects operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to meet revenue and cost goals. Supports the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, Plant General Manager ensures robust plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures are implemented to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Leads labor relations negotiations and engages with union leadership involving plant operations. Oversees multi-functional plant teams including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, finance or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Plant General Manager manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Plant General Manager typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience.     Description
    We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Manager to join our customers team. Our customer has an immediate opening and e are looking for someone that understand how to be a team player with all stakeholders of the company- employees, customers, vendors. Always driving operational excellence while growing and mentoring your teams. This is a key leadership role and you will have the opportunity to grow as well within the organization. As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing and distribution operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the facility.

    Responsibilities:


    • Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing operations, including production planning, materials management, quality control, and maintenance.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, promoting a culture of safety among all employees.
    • Manage and develop a team of supervisors and production staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination and execution of production activities.
    • Implement and maintain effective production systems and processes, utilizing best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Maintaining a site level KPI while maintaining a valued safety culture
    • Interaction at a high level of customers with daily/weekly calls
    • High level reporting to customers on a daily and weekly basis while ensuring culture, safety, and execution of orders is maintained at a high volume.
    • 5S program implemented or maintained


    Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

    Education:
    Bachelors

    Experience:
    7-10 years

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree or min of 7-10 years applicable experience
    Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
