Plant General Manager jobs in Davenport, IA

We are looking for candidates who are local to the area (within 45-60 minutes of drive) of DeWitt and have a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing management experience (ideally in Printing or Paper).

Summary:

The Plant Manager manages day-to-day operations at the DeWitt, IA manufacturing plant. The non-unionized facility employs approximately 175 employees over two shifts. The facility has an on-site Quality Supervisor, Planner, Engineer, and HR Manager whose supervisors are located at headquarters in Watertown, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day production output.
• Ensure that the product is manufactured to specifications.
• Understand production processes and equipment.
• Advise on new equipment and process improvements. Coordinate installation.
• Oversee facility operations.
• Appointing and supervising of Assistant Plant Manager and all production supervisors.
• Provide direction, training, and development of plant personnel.
• Forecast and maintain the necessary staffing levels for the facility.
• Partner with Human Resources for hiring, retention efforts, and employee performance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing in a manufacturing environment.
• Detailed knowledge of plant and manufacturing operations

Experience in Printing is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
